Bavarian band from Munich for hire, worldwide

A Bavarian band from Munich: booked from Singapore to the USA, from Japan to Dubai. The sound of the Munich Oktoberfest, played by musicians who actually come from Bavaria.

Bavarian band from Munich performing live at an Oktoberfest event

Bavarian band for hire: here on bavarianbands.com you can book a Bavarian band from Munich for your event anywhere in the world. People love Bavarian music, just as it is played at the Oktoberfest in Munich, and we bring it to you.

Where we play most, and where the musicians come from

Most of our engagements are in Munich. That is simply where corporate Oktoberfest events concentrate, and where the real Wiesn sets the standard your guests will measure the evening against.

And most of the musicians in our Bavarian line-ups are from Bavaria. They grew up with this music, play it in their own local bands, and speak the dialect the songs are written in. That is not a marketing line. It is the difference between a Bavarian band and a band playing Bavarian songs, and your Bavarian guests will hear it within the first eight bars.

Book a traditional Bavarian band

Booking is simple. Send me an e-mail telling me which country and which date you have in mind. You will get an answer very quickly.

Who am I?

My name is Elmar Wiesenmüller. I live in Germany and I am a musician, singer and DJ, specialised in corporate events and international clients. Besides my mother tongue German, I speak fluent English and French. If you prefer, we can simply talk on the phone: my number is on the contact page.

Line-ups: from one musician to a full band

The more band members, the more flights and hotel rooms, so the line-up is worth thinking about early. My band already works as a duo: with accordion and euphonium we deliver the world-famous German sound. Of course we also sing and yodel. And when one of our Bavarian singers joins us, you have the complete Bavarian band for your event.

Live music for your Oktoberfest

The Oktoberfest in Munich is the most popular folk festival in the world. Visitors from every continent come to Germany for it. Inside the tents there is eating and drinking: German beer from one-litre mugs, and in every tent there is live music. The musicians mix traditional Bavarian music with international hits. Once you have felt that atmosphere, you stay addicted to it.

That mixture is exactly what we bring to your event: Bavarian polkas, waltzes and mid-tempo songs from Bavaria, Tyrol and Oberkrain, combined with songs your guests already know and can sing along to.

The practical facts

  • Booking: you send an e-mail, you receive a quote. If you agree, you receive a contract.
  • Payment: half as a deposit, half one week before the event.
  • Cancellation: if your event has to be cancelled due to force majeure, you get everything back.
  • Acoustic and mobile: with no PA system at all we reach an audience of up to 100 people, useful at trade fairs and for walking performances.
  • Sound and hotels abroad: when we fly in, we hire local sound equipment and book our own hotel rooms.
  • Languages on stage: German, English and French, plus party songs in Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Turkish and Russian.
  • Also available: DJ set after the live show, which makes any style or request possible.

Authentic clothing for men and women

There are a great many imitations of authentic Bavarian clothing online, and German shops sell plenty of them too. Don’t waste your money. If you want genuinely typical Bavarian clothing, write me an e-mail and I will recommend shops in Munich where you can order real lederhosen and dirndls.

From Munich to Singapore

Bavaria is beautiful, and I don’t know a single Bavarian musician who wants to live anywhere else. So if you want a Bavarian band in Singapore or Qatar, we come to you.

Where we travel from, and how

We all live in Germany. That shapes the logistics:

  • By car: Germany (Munich, Hanover, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Cologne, Berlin), Austria and Tyrol, Switzerland (Geneva, Basel, Zurich), the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Belgium, and northern France: Paris and Alsace we drive to.
  • By air, arriving the same day: the French Mediterranean: Nice, Cannes, Monaco and the whole Côte d’Azur, plus Iceland, Norway, Ireland and most of the rest of Europe. From Essen that is a flight, not a drive; anyone telling you otherwise has not done it.
  • Arriving the day before: everywhere else: the Gulf, Asia, the Americas. Frankfurt is Germany’s largest international airport, with direct flights to most countries.

A note on the word “oompah”

The crisp bass played by euphonium or tuba earned German folk music its English nickname: oompah music. If that is the word you were searching for, my English sister site oompah-band.com covers it in depth.

Where to go from here

  • Bavarian music: the styles, the instruments and the songs we actually play
  • Bavarian dancers: Schuhplattler as a show act, with a realistic programme timeline
  • The band: who the Bergvagabunden are and where they have played
  • New Year’s Eve: the Ela & Elmar duo package, with the fee stated openly
